At Mount Desert Nursery School, we are more than just a place where children learn and grow;

Our journey began with a vision to provide a safe, inclusive, and inspiring environment for early childhood
education in the picturesque surroundings of Mount Desert.
For over 40 years, we have been a cornerstone of early childhood development in our community. Our founders, passionate educators and parents themselves, embarked on this journey with a commitment to excellence, creativity, and a deep belief in the potential of every child.
Today, we proudly continue their legacy by fostering a love for learning, exploration, and imagination in the young hearts that walk through our doors.
The early years of a child's life are pivotal for their cognitive, emotional, and social development. Our philosophy is rooted in the belief that every child is unique, and we embrace the diversity of talents, interests, and abilities that each child brings to our school.
We believe that play is the cornerstone of early childhood education. Our curriculum is designed to encourage children to explore, create, and discover through play. Whether it's building with blocks, painting masterpieces, or engaging in imaginative role-play, we ensure that learning is fun and engaging.
